I drive the car almost every day. It is our daily driver. Overall it has been a great replacement to our 2010 Volkswagen Jetta diesel Sport Wagon. I can go several months without refueling and have used 183 gallons of fuel with seventeen fill-ups since we bought the car two years ago. We have driven a total of 15,000 miles and I have charged the vehicle a total of 2,413 kWh in that two years, which is about $386 of electricity used for charging the plug-in battery, versus $481 in fuel cost.

The total operating cost, excluding regular service maintenance, is well below the suggested Ford widow sticker estimate of $1,000 annually. Because this is our first venture into a hybrid vehicle, I have tried to record and document all operating costs for the Ford C-Max Energi. So far so good.
