Your privacy is important to us. Here's what we do to protect it.

CSE takes great care to ensure the privacy of all rebate applicants. Please familiarize yourself with our privacy policy, which explains what personal information is, and how we collect, protect and share it.

What is personal information?

For the purposes of CVRP, personal information is information that identifies or describes you and includes, but is not limited to, your name, home address, telephone number, electronic mail address, driver license number, and photograph.

How do we collect your personal information?

We collect your personal information when you apply for a rebate through our online application system or by mail. We also gain access to your personal information through the supporting documentation that you submit to CVRP to have your rebate processed. Depending on your application circumstances, we may require additional information from you by phone or e-mail.

How do we protect your personal information?

CVRP has security measures in place to protect against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or alteration of the information that you have provided as part of the rebate application process. We follow practices consistent with federal guidelines to protect the information stored in our facility through a number of security measures, which include: restricting employee access to confidential or sensitive information, securing access to the area where this information is processed, storing confidential information in locked desks, filing cabinets, and storage rooms, saving electronic files in a secure network location, and password protecting confidential data files. An independent records management company with 24/7 security measures in place stores documents containing personal information off-site.

How do we share your information with other entities?

CVRP does not share your personal information with any third party that is not involved in the rebate application process. Information that you provide but that does not identify you personally may be included and aggregated with other consumers’ information for statistical reporting. If your application requires direct involvement of the California Air Resources Board, we may refer your personal information to its representative.
