Introducing a unique opportunity for electric vehicle adoption

The Clean Vehicle Rebate Project offers rebates for eligible zero-emission and plug-in hybrid light-duty vehicles for businesses, nonprofits and federal entities. Sponsored by the California Air Resources Board, the program is administered by the Center for Sustainable Energy.


What are the benefits of electric vehicles for your organization?

  • Receive up to $5,000 on the purchase or lease of up to two vehicles per lifetime.

  • Save on fueling and maintenance costs.

  • Improve local air quality by incorporating zero-emissions vehicles in your organization.

Who is eligible for rebates?

Businesses, nonprofits and federal entities are eligible for up to two rebates per lifetime for up to $5,000 per vehicle. The vehicles must be registered in the State of California, new at the time of lease or purchase and owned and operated in California for a minimum of 30 months. Original lease terms must be for a minimum of 30 months.

How do I apply for my vehicles?

All business, nonprofit, and federal organizations must submit a CVRP application for each vehicle acquired. Select business, non-profit, or federal entity in the drop down, complete the application and submit.
