Introducing a unique opportunity for electric vehicle adoption

The CVRP application and database will be undergoing routine maintenance on Thursday, June 24 from 6AM-8AM Pacific Time. During this time, some website functionality will be limited including new application submission, document upload, and ability to check application status. Please plan to perform application actions outside of this window.

The Clean Vehicle Rebate Project offers rebates for eligible zero-emission and plug-in hybrid light-duty vehicles for businesses, nonprofits, federal entities and tribal communities. Sponsored by the California Air Resources Board, the program is administered by the Center for Sustainable Energy.

Who is eligible for rebates?

Businesses, nonprofits, federal entities and tribal communities are eligible for one rebate per lifetime for up to $4,500 per vehicle.The vehicles must be registered in the State of California, new at the time of lease or purchase and owned and operated in California for a minimum of 30 months. Original lease terms must be for a minimum of 30 months.

How do I apply for my vehicles?

All businesses, nonprofits, federal entities and tribal communities must submit a CVRP application for each vehicle acquired. Select business, non-profit, or federal entity in the drop down, complete the application and submit.
