Come out and join us in Redding to celebrate the most important day of all — Earth Day! The Whole Earth and Watershed Festival will feature informative displays, interactive booths, a Children’s Zone, live music, a variety of great food to enjoy, and an electric vehicle test drive! As the premier environmental event of the year, the festival is about taking care of our natural resources and discovering new ways to become a better steward of the Earth.  An “Innovation Tent” will be the educational hallmark of the festival, featuring inspiring presentations on ways to “green” your lifestyle and pursue healthy living.

The electric vehicle test drive will be a great opportunity to experience electric vehicles in a no sales pressure environment. Try out an all-electric Nissan LEAF, an all-electric Chevy Bolt, and a plug-in hybrid Toyota Prius Prime. The vehicles will be stationed at the Redding Police Department parking lot adjacent to the festival. Any licensed driver can take a test drive, however, festival attendees with beer garden handstamps will not be allowed to participate. If you plan to enjoy the beer garden, make sure to take a test drive before purchasing a beer ticket.

Stop by the Drive Clean and Save booth to learn about transportation’s role in keeping our planet healthy. The Clean Vehicle Rebate Project team will be discussing all the benefits of electric vehicles from saving money to reducing air pollution. Learn about rebates, incentives and how you can play a part in reducing air pollution.
